My favorite ambient album of the year. Very minimal stuff. Check out their bandcamp site:

my favorite movie of 2023
Watched this earlier in year and thought it was fantastic. Slow, subtle and brilliant. Very touching film and my highest recommendation.

my simple setup
Perhaps two of the very best purchases I have ever made in my life: Reason Studios and the Arturia V Collection, which itself has numerous replications of vintage synths (Yamaha CS-80, DX7, Emulator 2, Jupiter 8, etc.). I make electronic music almost daily and couldn't do it without the ease that this software has afforded me. I've been a Reason user for over 20 years now, with some of my very first ambient and Turdcutter (yes, that was the name of our glorious rock band) tracks being produced with its synths and arrangements. I've tried Ableton, ProTools, Cubase, FL Studio...but for whatever reason (see what I did there?) this just connects to me best and I have no interest in working with those DAWs.

random sketching on ipad
A drawing from a few months back. I was also reading J.G. Ballard's superb Crash (also pictured), something I picked up many years ago and brought here from the States.

Obsessions with the sensual pleasures
Current re-read: The Hellbound Heart. My favorite of Clive Barker's work with my highest recommendation.
Long live the electronic abyss
I'd like to link to my longterm musical project: To The End. I've been working on this music for more than 10 years. It's hard to describe the genre: sort of a mixture of ambient, electronic, techno, avant-garde, and very experimental sound pieces. I've always said that its proper place might be an art exhibit of sorts. I'll talk more about it in future posts. This kind of my music is not for everyone, but I'm very proud of it as it is what I enjoy and what I aimed to create.
Enjoy if you like the unconventional:
